Soaring above the Storm - How to thrive in the present financial crisis.

To be honest I do not expect to be effected by the financial crisis. Instead, I expect to soar above the storm! Why do I say this? Because, for many years now, I, and my family, have been living by the eternal truths of God's Word, the Bible. In all this time we have found that God is faithful to His Word.

Following are a few simple revelations that we have been practicing and believe will work for you :-)

1. Spend less time working....and more time on what really matters (family friends and relationships, especially your relatioship with God).
2. Have plastic surgery..........cut all your credit cards! Pay all your crippling debts off as soon as posssible.
3. Travel by BMW...that's bus, MRT (Singapore's underground system) and walking!
4. Live simply not sinfully! (1 Timothy 6:6)
5. Be a fool.....ask for more of God's wisdom (James 1:5) in daily living (foolishness to the world - 1 Corinthians 1:25).
6. Give more....in tithes and offerings (Proverbs 3:9-10), especially for the poor (Galatians 2:10). Bless Israel (Genesis 12:3) and minister to others.
7. Expect more....as you seek God's Kingdom purposes and live righteously (see Matthew 6:33 and Isaiah 60:11).
8. Buy gold...invest in our faith in God that is refined by fire (Revelation 3:18-19; 1 Peter 1:7). Trust God and not the mechanics of wealth transfer (John 16:33).

This list is adapted from a message by Benny Ho I was forwarded - just thought i'd spice it up a bit.

May you too soar above the financial storm.
